Part 3のフォローアップ付きcue card トピック20題
実際の試験形式に沿ったcue cardを、試験官が次に問いかける抽象的なPart 3の質問とセットでご紹介します。
Part 2の流れ： 試験官からカードが渡されます。1分間で準備とメモを取り、その後2分間途中で遮られることなく話し続けます。試験官は反応したり励ましたりしません——これは通常のことであり、うまくできていないというサインではありません。
以下の20枚のカードはTalkSmartの試験問題バンクから収録したもので、実際のテストと同じ構成になっています。1つのトピックに4つのプロンプトが付き、最後のプロンプトは必ず「and explain why」です。各カードの下には、実際の試験でそのトピックから発展するPart 3のディスカッション問題が掲載されています。
2分間を使い切るために
最もよくあるミスは、4つのプロンプトを急いで話し終えて40秒で終わってしまうことです。カードは枠組みであってチェックリストではありません。各プロンプトにおよそ30秒を使い、それぞれに具体的な例を1つ加えましょう。
- 準備の1分間に文章を書かないこと。キーワードを書きましょう。文章を書いてしまうと音読になり、流暢さの点数を失います。
- 最後のプロンプトは必ず答えること。「Explain why」は意見と理由が求められる、まさに得点につながる部分です。
- 時間が来ても文章を終わらせること。途中で止められるのは想定内のことであり、失敗ではありません。

You should say:
- who this person is
- how you know them
- what they have done

Part 3が異なる理由
Part 2は個人的な内容で、自分自身の経験について話します。一方、Part 3は抽象的です。試験官は同じトピックの社会的な側面について質問します。「自分に影響を与えた人物」というcue cardの後には、ロールモデルの条件を誰が決めるのかについて議論します。ここでは試験官があなたに問いかけ、自分の意見を論理的に説明することが求められます。理由をきちんと述べれば、試験官の意見に反論しても問題なく、減点もありません。
