Part 3
Part 1
Why do you think that is? や Is that always true?
Do you think people read less than they used to?
(Answer) I'd say people read just as much, but they read differently. (Reason) Most of what we read now is short — messages, posts, headlines — so the habit of concentrating on one long text is what's really declining. (Example) In my country you see people reading on their phones on every bus, but very few with an actual book. (Balance) That said, audiobooks have brought a lot of people back to longer stories, so it's not all bad news.
|---|---|---|
| 意見 | Should governments fund the arts? I think so, although… |
| 過去と現在 | How has tourism changed your country? | 時制を対比させる:used to / now、has become。 |
| 未来 | How will cities change in the next fifty years? | will probably、might、I imagine |
| 原因と結果 | Why do people find change difficult? | 原因を一つでなく二つ挙げ、つなげる:partly because… and partly because… |
| メリットとデメリット | Is it better to rent or to own things? |
| 解決策 | How can cities reduce overcrowding? |
Part 3
I'd say…、As far as I can tell…、I'm fairly convinced that…
To some extent…、It depends on…、That's not always the case.
On the whole…、Generally speaking…、In most cases…
Take… for instance.、A good example is…
Compared with my parents' generation…、These days, whereas in the past…
I imagine…、It's likely that…、I wouldn't be surprised if…
That's an interesting question — I haven't thought about it much, but…
Why do people enjoy travelling?
Both have advantages だけでは逃げです。
I've never really thought about that, but…

Part 3
Part 3
Part 3 で "I don't know" と言ってもいいですか?
I've never really thought about it, but I suppose…"
