Как слова запоминаются по-настоящему
Проблема с заучиванием списков слов в том, что вы начинаете узнавать слова, но не можете использовать их. Видите слово и думаете «я это знаю» — а когда нужно говорить, оно не приходит на ум. Это две разные памяти.
- Учите слово в предложении, а не само по себе. Слово без контекста — просто ярлык.
- Интервальное повторение обязательно. Одной встречи со словом недостаточно: нужно вернуться к нему через день, через неделю, через месяц.
- Активное использование важнее пассивного узнавания. Составьте предложение с новым словом в тот же день, когда впервые с ним встретились.

Какие уровни охватывает тест на словарный запас?
Все шесть уровней CEFR — от A1 до C2. Для каждого уровня подобраны свои слова с определениями на английском языке.
Почему подсказки даются на английском?
Потому что заучивание слова через перевод не учит вас им пользоваться. Понять значение через определение на английском сложнее, но именно это делает слово доступным вам в момент речи.
Сколько слов мне нужно знать?
Примерно 2 000 слов достаточно для повседневного общения, 5 000 позволят читать газету, а около 8 000 — справляться с академическими текстами. Однако важнее не количество слов, а умение пользоваться теми, что уже есть в вашем запасе.
